Andy Harley

Funeral Director

I have lived in Auckland’s North Shore most of my life. I am married to Maxine and we have two adult sons. After leaving school I went farming for six years and then spent many years working in the transport industry, mainly in middle management roles. I have also been a small business owner and more latterly a Business Broker. I had thought many years ago that I might like to become a Funeral Director, and when the opportunity arose was pleased to obtain this position with Davis Funerals in 2008.

My past work experience has given me great people skills, has made me a very good listener, and my life skills and experiences have been good preparation for me in this role. I have found this work to be very rewarding and have enjoyed meeting many good people who do good work. I feel privileged to be able to assist grieving families during a most difficult time. It is a pleasure for me to work with people who take pride in what they do, who genuinely care for each other, and support each other whenever needed.

Outside of work I enjoy walking, getting exercise and socialising with friends. I would like to take the opportunity in the future to be able to talk with small groups of people about what happens after a death, to de-mystify the processes and provide information on what happens next.

Davis Funerals can help, please call us.
