I joined Davis Funeral (N C Davis Ltd) as it was known then, in 1956. I am a fourth generation member of the Little family to enter funeral service, and graduated from the San Francisco College of Mortuary Science in 1962.

I am Past President and Life Representative of the Funeral Director’s Association of New Zealand, a retired member of the British Institute of Embalmers and a Life Member of the New Zealand Embalmers Association.

In April 2007 I was presented with the New Zealand Special Service Medal (Erebus) in recognition of my work with the victims of the Mt Erebus air disaster.

My retirement has seen me busier than ever with Probus and Lions. I have joined the growing trend of motorhome owners who travel the bi-ways and highways of the country and am enjoying watching my grandsons grow into young men.

I am also continuing to work through my list of places to visit both in New Zealand and around the world. Although I am retired from active work in the company I still enjoy being involved in the business on a consultancy basis.
