John Schipper

Branch Manager - Henderson

I started with Davis’s in 1982. I have had 27 years experience in the funeral industry and am now the Branch Manager at our Henderson office.

I have gained both the Funeral Directing (2000) and Embalming qualifications (1988) and now hold a Diploma in Funeral Services.

I have also held positions with the NZ Embalmers Association as an Executive Member 1991, Secretary 1992/3 and President 1993/5.

I currently hold a position on the Funeral Service Training Trust of NZ for the New Zealand Embalmers Association. Education has always been a passion for me in this industry. I am also currently the Pandemic Co-ordinator for the Funeral Industry in Auckland.

I'm married to Tanya and have two sons, Alex and Yanni .

Outside of work I'm interested in our sons sports (soccer & tennis), motor racing and helping my wife with her charity work. I also like to fish if I ever get time off!
