I was born in Helensville and raised in Auckland where I attended Mt Albert Grammar School. Upon leaving school I worked in the banking industry for four years before enrolling into Teachers Training College. I have had a long successful teaching career and held Director of Music positions at independent schools in Auckland and Hamilton.

I am currently the Musical Director of the Auckland Boys’ Choir and the Waitakere Mens’ Choir, and I guest conduct both in Auckland and Australia. My teaching career and passion for choral work has given me wide experiences with many sections of society.

Family life is very important to me. I have three adult children with whom I am still very much involved, taking an active interest in their hobbies and sporting activities.

Giving integrity to the life of the deceased is important to me as well as providing the family a safe structure to allow this to happen. I consider my age and life experience to be an asset and I am looking forward to a long career in the funeral industry.
