Grange Manor is situated in the suburb of Mt Eden and serves Central Auckland and the surrounding areas. The Chapel and offices are located in the geographical centre of Auckland City at the corner of Dominion and Grange Roads, Mt Eden and offer easy access from any part of Auckland. Architecturally designed and built in 1990, Grange Manor offers a modern Chapel and Reception Lounge facility and is the head office of Davis Funerals.

The Chapel

Our Chapel has been specifically designed for a funeral service and incorporates a marble catafalque and lowering bier to provide full service committal funerals. The Chapel is fully airconditioned and centrally heated with beautiful upholstered pews. The Chapel seats 100 with additional space for 20, an audio visual link to our reception lounge allows further seating for a bigger funeral. Built with level entry, this enables easy access for the elderly and those with a disability. Facilities for playing music through CD’s, audio tapes and ipods/MP3 players are available, as is the functionality for playing DVD presentations. Services may be recorded via audio or video and the Chapel is wire looped for the hearing impaired. An electric organ is available and we can arrange the services of a professional organist to play accompanying music if desired.

Reception Lounge

Our spacious airconditioned and centrally heated reception lounge has a wide variety of menus available for the family’s choice, ranging from a simple morning or afternoon tea through to a more substantial selection for a luncheon type reception. A flat screen monitor in the reception lounge allows DVD presentations to be played during this gathering time.

Family Rooms

Tastefully decorated lounges are available for family and friends to spend time saying goodbye to a loved one in the days leading up to the funeral and before the service. Viewing can take place at any time during business hours, or outside of this time by appointment. If you would like your loved one to return to the family home in the period before the funeral, this may also be arranged.
