Our Pakuranga funeral home serves the Howick, Pakuranga and surrounding districts in East and South Auckland. The Chapel and offices are situated in Udys Road opposite the intersection of Pakuranga Highway and Glenmore Road. Built in 1914 on the ridge of Millen’s Hill, this beautiful historic villa was the first farmhouse in the area. In 1979, Davis Funerals purchased the villa and established a new facility to serve families in the Eastern Suburbs. The villa was lovingly refurbished in 2007 to accommodate modern facilities whilst still retaining the traditional features of the home. The original ceilings and gas light fittings are still evident today. This landmark villa offers a beautiful & restful pivate funeral facility.

The Chapel

Fully carpeted with upholstered chairs, the Chapel provides a restful venue for a funeral service. The Chapel is fully airconditioned and centrally heated with lovely views of the garden. Provision has been made for audio and DVD recording of services, facilities for playing music through CD’s, audio tapes or ipods/MP3 players are available, as is the functionality for playing DVD presentations.

Reception Lounge

Our intimate airconditioned and centrally heated reception lounge opens on to an elevated covered deck with views of east Auckland. There is a wide variety of menus available for the family’s choice, ranging from a simple morning or afternoon tea through to a more substantial selection for a luncheon type reception. Flat screen monitors in the reception lounge allow DVD presentations to be played during this gathering time.

Family Rooms

Tastefully decorated lounges are available for family and friends to spend time saying goodbye to a loved one in the days leading up to the funeral and before the service. Viewing can take place at any time during business hours, or outside of this time by appointment. If you would like your loved one to return to the family home in the period before the funeral, this may also be arranged.
